Once upon a time in the bustling town of Embu, there lived two friends, Koima and Clein, who had shared countless memories and laughter. They had been inseparable since childhood, and their friendship was known throughout the neighborhood.

Koima owned a small rental house on the outskirts of town, where Clein had been living for the past year. Life had been good, and they had enjoyed their time together. However, as the months went by, Clein found himself in dire financial straits. He had lost his job and was struggling to make ends meet, let alone pay the rent.

As Clein's financial situation worsened, he confided in Koima about his struggles. He explained that he had been actively searching for work but had yet to find a job. Clein felt ashamed that he couldn't fulfill his responsibility of paying the rent, but he hoped that Koima, his dear friend, would understand and grant him some time.

However, Koima's reaction was unexpected and harsh. He had always been known for his strict sense of responsibility, but his actions towards Clein were uncharacteristic of their long-standing friendship. One rainy evening, Koima arrived at the rental house and, without warning, began to remove Clein's belongings from the house. He didn't care that it was pouring rain, and he didn't listen to Clein's pleas.

Neighbors gathered, shocked by Koima's behavior, and some attempted to reason with him, reminding him of the many years of friendship they had shared. But Koima was resolute in his decision, driven by frustration over unpaid rent.

Clein watched helplessly as his possessions were soaked in the rain, feeling not only the weight of his financial troubles but also the pain of betrayal from a friend he had trusted so deeply.

In the days that followed, the rift between Koima and Clein grew wider. Clein was forced to find shelter with a relative, and their once-thriving friendship seemed irreparably damaged. Koima, on the other hand, was left with an empty house and a heavy heart.

The story of Koima and Clein serves as a poignant reminder that empathy, understanding, and compassion are crucial even in challenging times. While Koima may have believed he was acting responsibly, his actions ultimately cost him a dear friend and the warmth of their once-unbreakable bond. In the end, the golden rule — to treat others as you wish to be treated — was forgotten, and both friends paid a high price.
